What do you love about the Eye Care F‪ield? Being part of a team with the goal of making positive changes in the lives of our patients is so rewarding. Doing everything I can to help better the health, vision, and comfort of our patients is a joy. I find optics fascinating, and so I love keeping informed on new materials, lens designs and technologies. And the fashion of frames is so fun! I love helping patients pick out that great frame that is also perfect in terms of fit and comfort.
FAVORITE PART OF THE WORK DAY: That moment when a patient puts on that new pair of glasses, and breaks out in a big smile.
SIDE HUSTLES/PASSIONS/HOBBIES?: I am an artist who makes collages and textile art, and also builds costumes. In addition I am a martial artist with a 4^th degree black belt, an avid birder and hiker, and an enthusiastic home gardener.
LITTLE KNOWN FACTS: I lived in Chicago for many years before moving to California. In my late teens and early twenties I worked in the fashion and theatre costume industry. For a couple of years I helped create the costumes for the Chicago Bulls Cheerleaders!​​​​​​​
